How to Become a WA
Almost all Writing Advisors are nominated by faculty members or fellow students. After a student is nominated, he or she will be contacted by the Writing Center Director, Carol Martin, with following directions. Once a student is accepted as a Writing Advisor they enroll for a two credit class, which meets weekly during the following fall tern. This class is designed to provide Writing Advisors with the appropriate methodology needed to handle various scenarios one might encounter while advising.
